Charges

We have devised a system of charging dependant upon the party from whom the costs will be recovered:

Inter partes assessment

We believe our charges are the most competitive in the industry at only £100.00/hr for bill drafting. Charges for points of dispute/replies to points and attendance at detailed assessment being based on the hourly rate applicable to a Grade C fee earner in your area but limited to Grade D if not recovered.

The manner in which cost draftsmen’s fees can now be claimed presents an opportunity for your firm to benefit from our instruction. Following the decision in Crane –v- Cannon Leisure in any inter parte matter our fees will be shown in much the same way as an agent. Our fees will be shown in the bill as profit costs calculated based on no greater than a Grade C or at the rate applicable to the fee earner with conduct. Our invoice will still however be calculated as stated above.

Public funding assessment

Our charges are based on no more than 5.5% of the profit costs as drawn for all categories of publicly funded work.

In publicly funded matters we are entitled to claim our charges as profit costs and our fees will be shown calculated at the hourly rate applicable to the fee earner with conduct. Our invoice will still however be calculated as stated above.

Tailored Fees

We are able to offer a tailored fee structure to meet the individual needs of most clients. In particular our fee structure in relation to negotiations, probate & Court of Protection is by agreement.
