MARTYN JENNINGS - Director

 

Martyn Jennings co-founded Jennings Legal Services in 1989. He is a qualified solicitor who has gained considerable experience in all aspects of solicitors' costs work. Martyn's role is to ensure that Jennings remains at the forefront of costing and is the leading firm of costs consultants in the UK. In particular, his role encompasses quality control issues and client care.

SUE JENNINGS - Director

 

Sue Jennings co-founded Jennings Legal Services in 1989. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and spent many years, prior to establishing Jennings, working in private practice, undertaking a varied civil and criminal case load. She possesses considerable technical expertise and a high level of advocacy skills, having attended numerous assessment hearings throughout the country. Sue's role primarily focuses on training & development through the delivery of internal training.

 

MICHELLE BARRON - General Manager

 

Michelle Barron joined Jennings in 1998. She studied law, obtained an Honours degree and is a qualified Costs Lawyer. Having gained wide and in-depth experience of all aspects of costs drafting at Jennings, she was appointed as General Manager. Michelle is involved in all operational matters, as well as keeping ahead of general costs developments. Michelle compiles and edits In Camera, the Jennings newsletter and maintains a keen interest in Court of Protection and Probate matters.

 

ALLISTAIR LANG - Costs Manager

 

Allistair Lang joined Jennings in 1998, having obtained a degree in mathematics and successfully completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in education. Allistair is a Fellow of the Association of Law Costs Draftsmen. He has, for some years, played a pivotal role in Jennings' training programme. He has considerable technical knowledge and in-depth understanding of all publicly funded matters and ensures that all personnel are aware of the latest developments in this area.

 

ROB PARNESS - Court Manager

 

Rob Parness joined Jennings in 1999 from a legal background and is a Costs Lawyer. He has a keen interest in solicitors' costs and has gained a wealth of experience whilst at Jennings. His advocacy skills are outstanding and, as such, he was appointed Court Manager in 2002. Rob is responsible for Jennings' team of advocates who, under his direction, attend Courts throughout England and Wales on a regular basis.

RICHARD JACK - Negotiations Manager

 

Richard Jack joined Jennings in 2000, having previously worked for a firm of accountants. Richard specialises in inter partes work and is an experienced advocate. Richard heads the firm’s negotiation department which deals with a large volume of inter partes cases, including several prominent trade union firms. Richard is a Costs Lawyer and currently sits on the ALCD Council. 

Stephen Hibbert - London Office


Stephen Hibbert has worked in the legal profession for over 30years. He has worked as an Assessor for the Law Society and has worked both in the City as an in-house costs draftsmen and as a self-employed draftsmen. Stephen has considerable experience of undertaking work in all categories and of conducting costs advocacy. Stephen is responsible for the management of the London office.

Darren Ede - Brighton Office


Darren Ede started his costing career as an in-house draftsmen in 1986. He is a Costs Lawyer with particular experience in the field of civil costs.  He regularly attends Detailed Assessment Hearings both locally and throughout England & Wales including many at the SCCO.  Darren is responsible for the management of the Brighton Office.
